AS4U Career Center offers the opportunity to dive into one of our specialties including Oral Surgery, IV Sedation & Orthodontics. A dental assistant helps the dentist with tasks such as preparing the patient for a procedure, completing paperwork and obtaining the proper forms from the patient, taking x-rays, scheduling appointments, and much more. The median salary for a dental assistant is $36,000 starting as of 2019 for those. However, more experienced dental assistants can make up to $47,600 per year.
75% of our graduated dental assistants are recruited directly into one of our 6 clinics. All full time positions at our clinics offer full benefits, unlike the majority of dental offices in the area.
Other programs in the area can range from 8 weeks, 2 months, to 2 years. Our program is 8 weeks because of the extensive hands on training we provide to you as a student. You will learn in a dental office with state of the art equipment, working with real patients. Other programs are longer because they are heavily lecture oriented.
We show the inner workings of a multi-specialty practice and allow our students to see and plan for the areas that most interest them. Our student will have the opportunity to practice on live patients, not mannequins. Our program is unique as it offers our students the ability to maintain a regular job while attending the program to prepare for their new career.
The course consists of sixteen classes over eight weeks, resulting in 144 hours of classroom and clinical instruction and a 32-hour externship. Classes are held on Saturday. Click here
Our current teaching sites are in Cartersville & Decatur, GA. Visit our classes page for a list of start dates.

There are several options for financial aid: Meritize, Scratchpay & Care Credit. We also recommend visiting your personal banking institution to ask about a personal or education loan to cover your tuition. Lastly, we offer in-house & zero interest payment options.
